Resum
This paper presents a mixed-method study that combines quantitative and qualitative techniques to evaluate the technological profile and the motivation and satisfaction of Multimedia Engineering degree students using augmented visualizationmethods.Newusesoftechnologyintheeducationframeworkhavebeenextendedtoalllevelsandsectors, but these innovations require approval, validation and evaluation by the final users (i.e., the students) to ensure that they are suitable. In this paper,we will discussthe advantages anddisadvantages of applying mixedevaluation technologyin a case study of the use of interactive and collaborative tools for the visualization of 3D virtual models in a subject related to a Multimedia Engineering degree. The main objective is to evaluate whether our students are prepared to use the systems proposed, and to determine if the designed experiment generates an increase in the motivation and satisfaction using new devices and systems to visualize complex models. Results showed that the combination of mixed-methods allowed us to obtain adequate feedback to improve future iterations of this type experiment.
