dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a new approach for designing aconcatenative text-to-speech (TTS) system based onmulti-domain unit selection. The method achievesgood synthetic quality with reasonable computationalcost for a general-purpose TTS system. The architec-ture of the multi-domain database and the text classi-fication algorithm for domain assignment are the basisof the method. The performance of the adjusted textclassification algorithm for the multi-domain TTS aimis analyzed in several encouraging experiments.eng
