Anàlisi de la presència de rols estereotipats de gènere en el joc lliure i en l’àmbit familiar dels infants de 3-6 anys

Abstract

L’educació coeducativa lliure d’estereotips de gènere i sexisme inculcats pel sistema patriarcal és un dels reptes més importants en la societat del s.XXl, ja que aquests són la base del masclisme i creen desigualtats de gènere. Hi ha pocs estudis que es centrin en l’observació de les conductes dels infants de 3 a 6 anys i la seva percepció dels rols sexistes en l’àmbit familiar. L’objectiu d’aquest estudi és analitzar la presència de rols estereotipats de gènere en el joc lliure i en l’àmbit familiar dels infants de 3 a 6 anys. D’una banda, s’han dissenyat dos espais de joc culturalment estereotipats, un de cuineta, botiga i nines i l’altre, de cotxes i trens. A partir d’una observació sistemàtica de tres sessions de joc lliure de 150 infants de les aules de P3, P4 i P5 en aquests dos espais (9 sessions en total) s’analitza: a) la tria d’espais de joc amb relació al gènere dels infants, b) les conductes i el llenguatge de les nenes que juguen a l’espai de cotxes i trens, i dels nens que juguen a l’espai de cuineta, botiga i nines. D’altra banda, s’ha realitzat una entrevista estructurada a 50 d’aquests infants de P3, P4 i P5, per recollir dades sobre les seves percepcions dels rols de gènere dins l’àmbit familiar. Els resultats de l’estudi mostren que malauradament els estereotips de gènere continuen estant molt presents tant en el joc lliure dels infants com en la percepció que tenen del seu àmbit familiar.

One of the biggest challenges in the society of 21th century is the coeducational free of gender stereotypes and sexism taught by the patriarchal system, which are the basis of machismo and create gender inequalities. There are few studies that focus on observation of the 3-6 years old kids behaviours and their perception of the sexist roles in the family environment. The goal of this research is to analyze the presence of gender roles in the free play and in the family environment of 3-6 years old children. On one hand, two cultural stereotyped play environments have been designed, one of them with a kitchen, a store and dolls, and the other one with cars and trains. Based on a systematic observation of three free play sessions on 150 kids of P3, P4 and P5 classes in these two environments (9 in total) we analyze: a) the play environment choice according to their gender, b) the girls’ behaviours and language who play in the cars and trains environment, and the boys who play in the kitchen, store and dolls one. On the other hand, an structured interview has been done to 50 of these children of P3, P4 and P5, in order to gather information related to their perceptions of the gender roles in the family environment. Unfortunately, the outcomes of the study show us that the gender stereotypes are still present both in the free play of the children and the perception that they have of their family environment.
