Critial cartography as teaching-research tool: A feminist decolonial approach

Abstract

This paper presents a teaching-research experience developed within an elective course of the MIAD Master’s program at ETSA La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull. The course translates ongoing doctoral research into the classroom through critical cartography as a pedagogical tool. Drawing on feminist and decolonial approaches, it invites students to rethink hegemonic forms of territorial representation and to understand landscape as a cultural, historical and political construct. The methodology combines theoretical reflection with practical workshops focused on the collective production of thematic maps of the Noroeste Argentino. The experience culminates in a critical cartographic atlas that makes visible situated practices and marginalized forms of knowledge.
